“This has been a dream of mine – to see this day come. You guys are part of the original crew of Earn to Learn. I can’t tell you how I proud I am of you. You made it across the finish line and have your degrees, and Earn to Learn was able to be a part of helping you along that journey,” said Kate Hoffman, Earn to Learn’s Executive Director at our graduation event in Southern Arizona.

“Thank YOU for dreaming and making it all come true,” a parent said in response.

This May marked the first class of four-year Earn to Learn students to graduate since the program’s inception in 2013! We had celebrations statewide to congratulate our students, find out their plans for the future, and share their experiences from the past four years.

These students have been saving every month, completing financial literacy training, and attending on-campus workshops and events. Earn to Learn has been instrumental in helping them navigate financial aid, understand budgeting, and finding the resources they needed to succeed.

Brittany Rogers from the University of Arizona says Earn to Learn helped her understand “Financially how to navigate through life – all the things they don’t teach you in high school. Earn to Learn was able to step in and be the liaison between me and the real world. I was able to learn those skills, learn good savings habits I will use throughout my life, AND see immediate results from it. It was a great opportunity and I learned so many practical things I will able to use in my life. I didn’t know anything about loans or credit.”

At events in each region, students gathered to share their experiences, play games, and take pictures. Southern even had a pinata! All savers also received an Earn to Learn graduation lapel pin to wear with their cap and gown.

We are so proud of all of our graduates!
