Earn to Learn is a needs-based scholarship program that teaches financial literacy and rewards students and families committed to saving money to attend ASU, NAU and UA with $4,000 of matching scholarship funding. Using matched-savings accounts, qualifying students who make deposits for at least six months and meet their $500 savings goal before attending one of the three in-state universities will earn $4,000 in matching funds to pay for tuition and fees. The matching scholarship is renewable for up to four years depending on ongoing funding as long as students remain eligible and continue to save $500 each year.

The program also offers coaching for students including personal finance training, college readiness training, and ongoing support — from the very first day of attending college all the way to graduation. Students must commit up to 10 hours per year to continuing online personal finance training and/or in-person workshops. The use of matched-savings accounts in conjunction with one-on-one coaching is a proven way to help individuals and families developĀ  financial behaviors that increase the likelihood of finishing college with a degree, ready to enter the workforce, with little to no student loan debt.
