The Michael & Susan Dell Foundation created Dell Scholars to recognize and assist students in the academic middle from low-income households who are often among the first in their families to attend college. Dell Scholars overcome significant personal to pursue their higher education.

Dorrance Scholarship

The Dorrance Scholarship for first-generation students is a need-based award providing financial and academic support for Arizona high school graduates pursuing an undergraduate degree at one of Arizona’s public universities.

Valley Foundation

In 1997 Ann Lovell established the Valley Foundation to provide college scholarships to promising students based not on their grades but instead considering their participation in school activities, community involvement, employment and financial need.

League of United Latin American Citizens

Since 1932, LULAC Councils have been selling tacos and tamales, having dances and more to raise money for scholarships given to qualifying Hispanic students. Recently, the LULAC National Educational Service Centers (LNESC) began the LULAC National Scholarship Fund.
