What Earn to Learn looks like at Nevada State University:

Students Must:

  • Qualify for in-state tuition (in Nevada)
  • Be eligible to receive federal, state, or institutional need-based grant at the time of application.
  • Enroll in at least 6 credits per semester in one of the following:
    • School of Education
      • Students must be in good standing within the University and the School of Education.
      • Open to undergraduate students who are program-admitted in their Junior years, and
      • Anticipate to complete their programs and degrees in fall 2026.
    • School of Nursing
      • Students must be in good standing within the BSN program, and
      • Successfully completed the first semester of the full-time program or the second semester of the part-time program.
      • Anticipate to be enrolled in the BSN program through at least the spring 2025 semester.
  • Work with a faculty advisor to create a Master Academic Plan (MAP).

Additional Note:

  • NSU will select students who meet these criteria and offer them the opportunity to participate in the ETL program.

Earn to Learn is committed to empowering students to achieve their goals and be workforce ready with little to no student debt. To accomplish our mission, Earn to Learn has adopted a code of conduct to govern the actions and behaviors of all students participating in Earn to Learn programs. Students are expected to act according to the organization values:

  • Integrity: Be transparent, honest, authentic, and ethical, even when no one is looking. Be accountable, courageous, trustworthy, and positive.
  • Innovation: Take initiative, be creative, and be proactive.
  • Empathy: Be kind, compassionate, encouraging, and understanding to everyone you have the honor to encounter.
  • Empowerment: Build an inspiring culture of learning and support that enables others to invest in their own success as you continue to invest in yours.
  • Adaptability: Be flexible, resilient, optimistic, and adept at persisting through challenges that come your way.
  • Collaboration: Believe in the power of working together to further our collective mission.

Earn to Learn will not tolerate the following:

  • Abusive, harassing, discriminating, and/or obscene language or gestures.
  • Assault, verbal abuse, or threat of physical harm to a student, Earn to Learn employee/partner, or another person.
  • Forgery of school related documents, falsifying information to school authorities, Earn to Learn, or a financial partner.

Any violation will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis by Earn to Learn leadership. Consequences may include a student’s immediate removal from any or all programs.
