The Scholarship AZ Conference
In April, some members of our team had the privilege of attending the Scholarship A-Z Educator’s Conference, where we engaged with community members both in-person and online. The conference focused on the challenges faced by undocumented and immigrant youth in higher education and highlighted the essential support needed for their academic journey.
Key topics included navigating education from the DACA perspective, essential information for educators, and post-graduation considerations. The insights gained from this conference are invaluable, as they will help us offer even more empathetic guidance to our students, connect them with relevant resources and support networks, and advocate for inclusive policies within educational institutions.
Our coaching team is committed to fostering an environment that empowers students to thrive academically and pursue their educational aspirations with confidence. We are excited about the positive impact these learnings will have on our work and the students we serve.
We’d love to hear from you! How do you think educators and communities can best support undocumented and immigrant youth in their educational journey?
