Earn to Learn Featured on KGUN 9: Highlighting Our Impact, Alumni Success, and Generous New Funding
We’re excited to share that KGUN 9 News recently featured Earn to Learn in their “Community Inspired Journalism” series, shining a light on the powerful impact our program has on students across Arizona.
The segment includes an interview with our founder and CEO, Kate Hoffman, who shared the vision behind Earn to Learn and how our innovative matched-savings scholarship model is helping students graduate with little to no student loan debt. It also highlights the inspiring story of Selena Quintanilla, a 2015 Earn to Learn alum who now works on our team, paying it forward by helping the next generation of students succeed.
Selena’s journey is a powerful example of what’s possible when students have access to the right financial tools and support systems. Selena’s story, alongside Kate’s insight, beautifully illustrates the heart of our mission: to empower students through education, financial wellness, and opportunity.
This story also comes at a special moment for our organization, as it celebrates generous new funding from The Bob & Renee Parsons Foundation. Their investment helps expand our impact across Arizona, ensuring even more students can access life-changing support on their path to a debt-free degree.
We’re incredibly grateful to KGUN 9 for helping share our story and amplify the voices of those who are both shaped by and contributing to the Earn to Learn movement. The story has since been picked up by several affiliate news networks, spreading our message even further.
Thank you to Kate, Selena, the team at KGUN 9, and The Bob & Renee Parsons Foundation for making this moment possible. Together, we are building a future where higher education is within reach for all.
