Earn to Learn Student Orientation: Empowering Students with Tools for Success
This summer, Earn to Learn is launching our very first comprehensive student orientation. This information session is designed for both new and continuing students participating in the Earn to Learn Matched-Savings Scholarship Program as a tool to ensure that all students understand how the scholarship works, what is expected of them, and how to make the most of the resources available to support their academic and professional journey.
During the orientation, we will walk students through the key scholarship requirements, important deadlines, and how to navigate their student portal. Each student will be introduced to their dedicated Success Coach, an essential support figure throughout their time in the program. Coaches are there to answer program questions, provide guidance, and help with everything from academic challenges to setting long-term goals.
We will also be introducing our series of skill-building webinars, which are designed to promote financial wellness and workforce readiness. Students will learn about the topics covered, how to access the sessions, and how these webinars tie into their scholarship participation.
In addition, we will be sharing details about our voluntary Mentorship Program, which connects students with professionals in the community who serve as mentors while students prepare to enter the workforce. These mentors offer valuable guidance, share real-world experience, and meet with students monthly to discuss predetermined topics focused on career development and workplace readiness.
Students will also be introduced to our Financial Wellness Counselors, who provide one-on-one support to help students reach their financial goals. Whether it’s budgeting, saving, or planning for retirement, our counselors help students make informed financial decisions with confidence.
This orientation is more than an overview; it’s a launchpad. We created it to help students understand how Earn to Learn works, what to expect during their participation, and, most importantly, how to access the many wrap-around services designed to elevate them as they pursue their educational, financial, and career goals.
