Who am I?

Kate Hoffman is the visionary leader of Earn to Learn, who has been with the organization since its inception—well, even before that, considering her brainchild underwent several transformations before settling into the successful entity it is today. The journey began at Kate’s kitchen table in 2008 with the creation of the original organization, Live the Solution. As a mother of two children (and future college students), Kate’s vision was to empower individuals to achieve financial competence and lifelong assets, such as education and home ownership, by fostering the habit of saving through a Matched Savings Account.

In 2013, Kate made a strategic decision to focus exclusively on the education sector, forging partnerships with universities across Arizona. The ingenious collaboration involved these partnered schools matching the funds raised by Earn to Learn through philanthropic outreach and federal funding. This model laid the foundation for the organization’s expansion to almost every post-secondary institute in Arizona, extending its reach even beyond state borders.

Kate’s influence extends beyond organizational strategy—she is the catalyst for every team member’s growth and success. Known for enveloping others in a glow of positivity and energy, Kate’s tenacious personality has forged Earn to Learn’s path to forming the best partnerships in Arizona and beyond. Her advocacy for the program has reached the highest levels, as she has been invited to speak to Congress on behalf of financing post-secondary education. Kate lives and breathes all things Earn to Learn, embodying the organization’s mission and standing as a formidable force. For Kate, Earn to Learn is not just a program; it is the future of funding education for all students.
